Visitors Day at Viscaria – Sunday 5th October
We are opening the gates to the new Viscaria mine and inviting Kiruna residents, families, and friends to spend a day on site. Come and see what’s happening, ask questions, and learn more about the future of copper production in Kiruna.
Time: 11:00-14:00
Place: Viscariavägen 10, 98199 Kiruna
Between 11:00 and 13:00 we will be serving a light lunch and refreshments while supplies last.
For Kiruna residents, families, and friends
Guided site tours depart at 11:30 and 12:00 (approx. 30 minutes). During the tour you will see:
- The mine entrance
- Our modern water treatment plant
- The tailings and other facilities currently under construction on site.
For industry colleagues (Advance registration required.)
From 13:00 to 14:00 we offer a longer guided tour with stops at the mine, the water treatment plant, the clarification reservoir, and more – including in-depth information about the project.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts to change into the required light protective equipment.
